Put away your guidebooks, open your notebooks: for two hours, you won’t just be sightseeing—you ’ll be traveling! This creative writing workshop centered on the exhibition “Journey to Italy” offers a chance to discover Jean Couty’s works in a new light at the Jean Couty Museum. With your notebook open and pen in hand, you’ll journey through Couty’s Italy: each painting is a stop on your journey, and each writing prompt is an invitation to immerse yourself in it.

Workshop itinerary (2 hours):

• Welcome at the museum and introduction to the workshop and the “Journeyto Italy” exhibition.
• Explore Jean Couty’spaintings on a journey with three stops: Venice, Mount Etna, and Puglia.
• Writing in front of each painting: a writing prompt invites you to immerse yourself in the artwork and transformyour observations into a narrative.
• The Grand Departure: You’ll leave with the first pages of your travel journal, written in the museum’s galleries, inspired by paintings that have paved the way before you.
