WARNING: SCAM!!!!! I'm giving it 1 star because I can't give it 0.... 40€ per person for 2 hours for an activity you can do at home for 5€—don’t do it under any circumstances; it’s a scam. And just because they play the Fort Boyard theme song doesn’t mean they can call it a Fort Boyard activity. There’s way too much to say about this scam, so the best way to make you realize that you absolutely must not give money or credit to people like this is to walk you through how the “activity” plays out: - The coach/facilitator shows up with an enthusiasm that would make someone under anesthesia seem like a high-energy person. Then he starts pulling out his “equipment” (I’ll remind you that this is a €40-per-person activity, put together with three scraps of string....(2–3 cones, a jump rope, some potatoes… in the middle of a vacant lot…) so there was little to no equipment and the activity was a disaster. - First game: a 5-meter relay—basically, three strides and you’re done… but the teams didn’t have the same weight to pass; one team had a 3-kg medicine ball, the other a 6-kg kettlebell. During the first race, he realized there was one team of 6 and one of 7, so he figured that in the team of 6, one player would have to pass the object twice... Second race: at the end, he turns around and asks us who won because he wasn’t watching… - Second game: the famous “Fort Boyard” matchstick game. He asks us where he can put the matchsticks, but since we’re on a vacant lot, he just puts them on the ground (though it’s tricky to run an activity that requires minimal equipment when you don’t have any) - Third game: we had to hold weights with our arms outstretched above a jump rope—which, of course, we had to hold taut ourselves; otherwise, it would’ve been too easy. Except that with 1.5 kg weights, we could have spent the whole night there—but hey, when you don’t have any equipment, it’s hard to come up with anything else.... - For the fourth game, we just had to balance on one foot.... I mean, that works for kids who haven’t quite mastered their body control yet, but there were 13 of us in our thirties… 40€ per person just to be asked to balance on one foot—spot the flaw… - 5th game: We had to blindfold ourselves and pick up potatoes off the ground, except he put them all in the same spot.... So it was very dangerous—in fact, several people hurt themselves by bumping their heads.... - The sixth game involved water, but there was no water source to fill a basin, so we told him to go get some from the sea (which was literally 50 meters away from us), and on his way back, he asked us if we had a cup to play the game (once again, 40€ per person and no equipment—it’s starting to get expensive, but then again, that’s the whole point of a scam). - That’s when we decided to cut our losses because driving an hour and a half round trip, paying 40€ per person to do something that would have cost 5€ to do at home—and would have turned out better. - In the end, we couldn’t even stick it out for the full two hours because they’d been taking us for fools for 45 minutes. And the worst part is that later, when we called the manager of this coach/instructor to request a refund and detailed the less-than-mediocre service we received, he explained that the activity had been “used,” that it met their usual standards, and that as a result, he’d rather take a negative review—which wouldn’t affect them—than issue a refund.... We’ve reached a point where customer satisfaction no longer even matters to these people..... Honestly, given the misleading description in the ad and, above all, the price of €40 per person for 2 hours, this is a total rip-off, so definitely give it a wide berth. Build your own “Fort Boyard”—it’ll be more fun, and it’ll cost you no more than €5 for a level of service that’s similar to, or even better than, what we got...
