Discover the secrets of a rare know-how in the company of Perrine. She invites you to discover the fascinating world of traditional beekeeping, at the heart of a honey house rooted in Gironde traditions.

Explore an approach that respects bees and their environment, based on the use of frameless basket-weave hives.

Workshop schedule (5h) :

• Welcome and introduction: start the day with a breakfast of juices and pastries, then learn about the workshop program.
• Theoretical part: learn the basics of bee biology and the principles of traditional beekeeping.
• A snack is served around 11 a.m.
• Botanical observations: explore the environment and understand the link between bees and their ecosystem.
• Handling hive components: get to grips with the various components (bars, natural insulators such as sheepshear) and discover how to assemble a hive.
• Observation in the apiary: equip yourself with a protective suit and observe the bees directly in the apiary.
• Tasting: end the workshop with a mini honey tasting session.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a thorough understanding of how to welcome and care for bees in a way that respects all living things.
