Discover the fabulous profession of beekeeping in a unique setting: on the roof of Montreuil town hall!

Rafik will be delighted to welcome you for this 4-hour initiation, during which theory and practice will intermingle to offer you a unique experience.

Course of the activity (4h) :

• Introduction to the theory and techniques of beekeeping in the city.
• Rafik will introduce you to urban beekeeping practices, flower pollination and the challenges of ecological responsibility and transition.
• You'll then put on protective clothing to visit the apiary and handle a hive in vivo.
• Explanation of how honey is harvested in the field.
• Free tasting of over 200 honeys from around the world: exotic, rare or exceptional, from Europe's largest public honey library.

You'll leave with a head full of new knowledge, as well as :

• a small bag of honey sweets,
• a small beeswax candle,
• a 30g jar of honey,
• and a "Les Ruchers de Montreuil" ecocup!

It's an immersive, gourmet and committed workshop at the heart of urban beekeeping!
