The Sanguinaires Islands are a series of islets at the northern end of the Gulf of Ajaccio. There are 4 of these islets, named Mezzu Mare, l'Arghja, l'Oca and l'îlot di Porri, which reveal their history and wild landscapes. They are or were home to lighthouses, semaphores and Genoese towers that were closely linked to maritime navigation and fishing.
