Get up close and personal with bees at an introductory beekeeping workshop! For 4 hours, Delphine will share her knowledge of bees and their unique world.
Course of the workshop (4h):
- This half-day course begins with an explanation of how to work with bees, how an apiary works, and the world of beekeeping in general.
- Next, you'll be equipped to go out and meet the bees. You'll visit the educational apiary to learn about the different parts that make up a beehive.
- The hive will be open so you can see inside and look for the queen on the frames.
- Of course, you'll be able to ask Delphine any questions you may have, and she'll be delighted to tell you all about her job.
Whether you want to experience it for yourself or give it as a gift, this workshop is perfect if you want to find out more about the world of bees, pollination and honey!

I'd like to encourage anyone interested in the world of bees to take this half-day introduction to beekeeping - it's fascinating. Within minutes of my arrival, I had already donned the suit and was standing by the beehives where, as Delphine set to work tending them, she explained everything she was doing and answered all my questions as thousands of bees swirled around us. It was a great moment, the time flew by and I came away from this initiation with a different outlook and a better understanding of beekeeping, bees, and the commitment so important and necessary of beekeepers like Delphine.
