Head to the seaside resort of Le Pouliguen, the gateway to the famous La Baule/Le Pouliguen Bay in Loire-Atlantique and the heart of the Guérande Peninsula. You’ll be immersed in a summery atmosphere blending fine sandy beaches, maritime pine forests, and a marina, all amid a stream of tourists in swimsuits heading to the beach. In teams of 2 to 5 people for this Olympic-style competition, you’ll have to tackle the 5 Fast Challenge events with panache to rack up as many points as possible and triumph over the bay. Playing Area: The activity will take place in an area stretching from the La Baule/Le Pouliguen marina to Nau Beach, passing through the historic center of Le Pouliguen and its municipal park.

Daring, strategy, and quick thinking will be the watchwords as this Olympic competition kicks off. If the sun’s rays haven’t already knocked you out by then, your sense of direction and fighting spirit will be the deciding factors in the final sprint! There’s no room for sentiment—the scent of victory isn’t something to be shared.

For the Pouliguen/La Baule Olympiad, there are 5 events on the schedule:

EVENT 1 = TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT (Strategy)
- Each team is given a list of 30 items to collect within 30 minutes in downtown Le Pouliguen. It’s impossible to get everything—and you can’t pay to get them. You’ll need to be strategic and organized to score the highest. Keep an eye on the clock!
CHALLENGE 2 = THE POULIGUEN MASTERS (Precision)
- This is a twist on Molkky (a Finnish game) with rules tailored specifically for the Olympics. The game takes place in a downtown park behind the beach.
EVENT 3 = THE COTE D’AMOUR QUIZ (General Knowledge)
- Each team has a total of 25 minutes to answer a list of 30 questions on a wide variety of topics about the Le Pouliguen region and the Loire-Atlantique department… followed by four logic puzzles. Get those brain cells working!
CHALLENGE 4 = THE BEACHGOERS’ COURSE (Orienteering)
- The best challenge of the day! Each team has 60 minutes to take 40 specified photos at strategic locations in Le Pouliguen and at the entrance to La Baule. You’ll be given a map and a roadbook to guide you through the town. Souvenir photos guaranteed!!
CHALLENGE 5 = THE SAND CASTLE (Speed)
- A short obstacle course on Nau Beach. Nothing too difficult, but we’re keeping the obstacles a surprise.

A JOKER option is available to all teams. It spices up the competition by doubling the points earned on the challenge of their choice!

The team that racks up the most points throughout the day wins and goes down in history!

An Olympics-style event is perfect for bachelor/bachelorette parties—a great way to have a blast with friends—or even for a team-building activity!
