A half-day scavenger hunt in the capital of Anjou, during which teams of 2 to 6 people will compete outdoors in five challenges of varying lengths that combine strategy, general knowledge, and sports… all in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

You’ll explore a serene, lush setting that perfectly captures the relaxed lifestyle of Anjou. This scavenger hunt will take you to the hidden corners of the locals’ favorite park, as well as a section of Lac de Maine.

The challenges:

• CHALLENGE 1 = DILEMMA AMONG FRIENDS (Daring)
  • Each team has exactly 25 minutes to complete as many as possible of the 14 challenges proposed by the host. The challenges call upon various skills (boldness, critical thinking, strategy, athletic ability, and more). It will be difficult to do everything—you’ll need to adopt the best strategy to win.
• CHALLENGE 2 = THE MAINE BANQUET (Speed/Composure)
  • This is a relay race among team members. All teams compete on a winding course at the lower end of Balzac Park. There are two objectives: to go fast and to keep as much water as possible in the containers provided. Speed isn’t everything—you’ll need to show some finesse.
• CHALLENGE 3 = THE BIG QUIZZ! (General Knowledge/Logic)
  • Each team has a total of 25 minutes to answer a list of 30 questions on a variety of topics taken from the TV show “Le Burger Quizz”… followed by four logic puzzles. Get those brain cells working!
• CHALLENGE 4 = THE SCANDINAVIAN TARGET (Accuracy)
  • You’ll play Molkky (a Finnish game) with rules specific to the Olympiad. Let your inner Viking shine. In Angers, we know how to appreciate a good game!
• CHALLENGE 5 = THE FITNESS COURSE (Endurance/Strategy)
  • The best event of the day! Each team has 35 minutes to take the 20 required photos at strategic locations in the park and solve 5 puzzles. You’ll be given a map and a roadbook to guide you through the neighborhood. Souvenir photos guaranteed!!

A JOKER option is available to all teams. It spices up the competition by doubling the points earned on the challenge of your choice!

The team that racks up the most points throughout the day wins and goes down in history!
