Fast Challenge offers two Olympic-style competitions in Nantes, depending on whether you’d like to compete in the city or out in nature.

These half-day challenges take place in the City of the Dukes of Brittany, where teams of 2 to 6 people will compete outdoors in five challenges of varying lengths that combine strategy, general knowledge, and sports—all in a fun and friendly atmosphere!

Nantes City Center Challenge: You’ll navigate an urban atmosphere blending the hustle and bustle of daily life, immersion in contemporary art, and the laid-back Nantes way of life. This challenge will take you in the footsteps of Jules Verne and the “Voyage à Nantes” experience.

The activity will take place in a play area stretching from the Île de Nantes and its famous machines—such as the elephant—to the narrow streets of downtown, passing through the Passage Pommeraye and the banks of the Loire.

The challenges:

  • CHALLENGE 1 = A DILEMMA AMONG FRIENDS (Daring)
    • In 30 minutes, each team must organize itself to complete two sub-challenges: Search for a list of 30 objects in the streets of Nantes, then answer a general knowledge quiz about the city.
  • CHALLENGE 2 = THE NANTES BRAIN TEASER (Logic)
    • A decision to make: Which team member(s) will take on the memory challenge while the other(s) tackle a logic test?
  • TEST 3 = FOLLOW THE LINE! (Endurance)
    • The best challenge of the day! Each team has 60 minutes to take the 60 required photos at strategic locations around the city (from the Bouffay neighborhood to the Hangar à Bananes, passing through various squares along the way). You’ll be given a map and a roadbook to guide you through the neighborhood. Souvenir photos guaranteed!!
  • CHALLENGE 4 = ART MEANS NOTHING (Drawing)
    • Just like the city’s artists, each team must draw—as best they can in 15 minutes—a poster of the machines on the Île de Nantes, which will be handed to them by the host. The drawings will be ranked by a random passerby interviewed on the street.
  • TEST 5 = A NANTES-STYLE GAME! (Accuracy)
    • You’ll be playing Molkky (a Finnish game) with rules specific to this Olympiad.

Nantes Olympiad, Parc de Procé (a 10-minute walk from downtown Nantes): You’ll be playing in a peaceful, lush setting that perfectly captures the Nantes way of life. This Olympiad will introduce you to the various corners of the park—a favorite among Nantes residents—as well as a section of the Chézine Valley.

The Challenges:

  • CHALLENGE 1 = A DILEMMA AMONG FRIENDS (Daring)
    • Each team has exactly 25 minutes to complete as many as possible of the 14 challenges set by the host. The challenges call upon various skills (daring, thinking, strategy, athletic ability, etc.). It will be difficult to do everything—you’ll need to adopt the best strategy to win.
  • CHALLENGE 2 = THE PROCE BANQUET (Speed/Composure)
    • This is a relay race. All teams compete on a winding course at the top of Procé Park. There are two objectives: to go fast and to keep as much water as possible in the containers provided to you. Speed isn’t everything—you’ll need to be careful.
  • CHALLENGE 3 = THE BIG QUIZZ! (General Knowledge/Logic)
    • Each team has a total of 25 minutes to answer a list of 30 questions on a variety of topics from the TV show “Le Burger Quizz”… followed by four logic puzzles. Get your brain in gear!
  • CHALLENGE 4 = THE VIKING TARGET (Accuracy)
    • You’ll play Molkky (a Finnish game) with rules specific to this competition.
  • EVENT 5 = THE FITNESS COURSE (Endurance/Strategy)
    • The best event of the day! Each team has 35 minutes to take the 26 required photos at strategic locations in the park or the Chézine Valley. You’ll be given a map and a roadbook to guide you around the area. Souvenir photos guaranteed!!

A JOKER option is available to all teams. It spices up the competition by doubling the points earned on the challenge of your choice!

The team that racks up the most points throughout the day wins and goes down in history!

The Olympics is the perfect activity for bachelor/bachelorette parties, for a great time with friends, or even for a team-building event!
