This workshop will introduce you to grape varieties—the different types of vines that determine a wine’s character based on their environment. Of the 300 known varieties, five will be explored during the workshop, and through tasting, you’ll learn to recognize their aromas.
Course outline (2 hours):
- A theoretical segment to gain a basic understanding of what a grape variety is and to learn about the five most important ones.
- Practical tasting of five wines to apply the theory.
- You will then participate in the aromas/flavors game, during which you will apply the VOG® method (visual, olfactory, gustatory).
- Course summary. You’ll leave with your educational booklet.
