The 8 th edition of the Big Egg Hunt is organized at the Ferme de Rutel for young and old on SATURDAY April 04th 2026 in the fruit, flower and vegetable picking area, located 2mn from Meaux in Seine et Marne.
Calling all amateurs and gourmets!
On the program:
- The Easter Bunny has hidden eggs of different colors in the harvest. Depending on their age, children will have to find the eggs of certain colors. Once they've found all the right eggs, they'll win real Easter chocolate!
- Older children can try to find the Olympic Eggs : large eggs (GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE) will be hidden by our Easter Bunny. It's up to you to find them, but the hunt will be tough... For each champion: a superb Easter chocolate! To give everyone a chance, there will be 2 Olympic Egg hunts (one in the morning, the other in the afternoon).
The bunny's in a hurry: help him find his eggs in 45 minutes maximum!
Recommended for children aged 2 to 12; children must be accompanied by an adult during the egg hunt.
Reservations required, as chocolate eggs are limited!
ATTENTION: we've sown and planted so you can pick vegetables and fruit all season long. We ask you to respect the plantings and seedlings by not walking on the plots of land. Eggs will be hidden in the orchard and in the grassy paths.
Don't forget to book online well in advance of the date!
Once a reservation has been made, the activity's schedule is firm and cannot be changed.
Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the activity: this is done directly online from your booking confirmation.

Wrong clues (letter errors and error on the number of letters in the word) and wrong indications of the gala apples (clue that had to be found) on the map. As a result, one of the organizers ended up having to tell us where the silver egg was hidden at the end of the day, and nobody managed to find it all day long. This meant we had to walk for miles through these hectares. And no commercial gesture was forthcoming in exchange, not even a little extra chocolate. What a shame!

Nice concept, but poorly executed... The riddles were wrong and therefore impossible to solve. The team knew this, but there was no compensation for the children. It's a pity, because it breaks all the magic.

A fun egg hunt in principle, but very poorly organized. It took us 2.5 hours to find the Olympic eggs, only to discover that the clues had been misleading us with mistakes. By the end of the day, 2 out of 3 eggs had still not been found. They had to indicate precisely where the eggs were to be found. As for the organizer, she didn't take responsibility for her mistakes, making excuses when she only had one job to do, and it was badly done... so yes, it was fun for the kids, but don't let them go around for 2 hours and find nothing!

The time slots seem pointless. The rewards are a bit paltry. A little treasure hunt would have been nicer, distance too long for children.

Much too long for the children, the eggs are much too far away and complicated to find, there is no indication the children are discouraged quickly it is really a pity. I won't be coming back for the egg hunt.

Very average, the hunt is like a maze and not suitable for toddlers, which is a shame. Too long, even for 5-6 year-olds.

To be done with children aged 4 and over, as there are long distances to walk and the terrain is not suitable for baby carriages. Bring boots. For children under 5: find 3 different-colored plastic eggs (so everyone can take part, leaving eggs for other children) and get a chocolate bunny at the checkout. The price (€8 per child) seems high for the experience on offer: no specific entertainment (apart from being able to find 3 "bonus" gold, silver and bronze eggs, with the help of riddles). A more symbolic price for browsing the collection and finding the plastic eggs would seem appropriate. All the more so as most of the people who come then go on to the store to spend their money.

Very nice not enough eggs bronze gold or silver (1 per category for the day) we arrived at 11am left one to find. The ideal would be to have one per session per category, but logistically speaking, it must be complicated to set up.

Not great. The eggs are easily visible and the puzzle is not suitable for young children.

Not an unpleasant experience, but we won't be back, the entertainment was too fast.

Good idea, but far too vast for an egg hunt And as for the riddles, they weren't very clear. After an hour's walk, we finally figured out that the keys weren't real keys, but hidden words (because a lady said to me, "There's a clue here"). Apart from walking back and forth, we never found the answers to the riddles. Because there were even eggs that weren't on the drawing, so were they traps? we'll never know!

This was my 1st experience and I was rather disappointed. In itself, the organization and the game were very well managed, but I expected to have a quality chocolate like everything else offered in the store (local, fresh products).... and not a 3€ industrial rabbit. We pay 7€ to "help" the company, I'm not against it on the contrary but when you know it it's different.
