Luthier Sébastien shows you how to fine-tune your guitar or bass at home. Learn step-by-step how to check action, curvature and tuning, as well as a host of practical tips for getting the most out of your instrument for a long time to come!

Workshop topics:

• What to look for on the instrument and where to start?
• Theory and practical application on your instrument : frets, reversal, curvature, action, intonation, pitches, radius, pickup height, tuning fork, etc.
• When to take the instrument to a luthier?

What to bring :

• Participants should bring one of their own instruments, if possible with the keys and other tools provided.
• You should also bring the following items:
  - a wide brush (between 3 and 5 cm),
  - a clean, soft microfiber cloth,
  - a new set of strings,
  - a tuner,
  - a jack,
  - paper and pen for taking notes,
  - mat, towel or something a little thick or padded to rest your instrument on,
  - for electric instruments: a small amp with headphones.
