Activity description :
- 1 hour
- Up to 24 children
- For the 4-14 years old
The entire team of activity leaders at Ferme de Viltain looks forward to welcoming you during the All Saints’ Day school break from October 21 through 23 and from October 26 through 30, 2026, for pumpkin carving workshops.
This one-hour workshop is sure to delight children as they look forward to Halloween festivities!
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Participants will be welcomed on-site at the scheduled workshop time in the designated area at Ferme de Viltain.
- Present your reservation voucher, either in print or on your smartphone.
- Each child chooses their own pumpkin.
- Decorate it, hollow it out, and turn it into a funny… or terrifying!… monster.
- And take your creation home: for a Halloween decoration that’s as unique as it is spooky!
Children ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult (who does not pay for the activity).
Be sure to wear warm, sturdy clothes—we’ll be carving, scraping, and there might be a few splashes!
And if you’re up for it, come in costume!
Feel free to take a photo in front of our Halloween display!
And that’s not all! After the workshop, take the opportunity to fill your baskets with fresh fruits and vegetables picked straight from our garden. It’s a great way to bring a little bit of nature and flavor home with you.
Reservations cannot be changed: each time slot is fixed and non-refundable.

Very disappointed! Little material. 5pm slot on 31/10 for my child, almost no pumpkins. Ours was rotten to begin with. Few staff to supervise. Next year we'll buy a pumpkin and make it at home! It'll cost us less.

We came with our two grandchildren on Tuesday October 31st , booking for 3.30 p.m. There were hardly any orange pumpkins left, or they were very small and misshapen, The blue pumpkins offered for cutting were not at all suitable for this type of workshop: very hard skin, very thick flesh inside. In the end, the children were content to watch as the instructors struggled to produce an acceptable result. The children were very disappointed. This is the second year we've been here, so we'll certainly be reluctant to repeat the experience next year. Greetings

Too expensive for what it is: provision of a pumpkin, a basic knife, a large spoon, a bucket and a sponge! The team of youngsters is friendly, but there's no real entertainment. I thought the kids would be totally taken care of for this activity, but that wasn't the case. The presence of parents is essential. I think this should be specified in the advert.

No reminder from you for this event, as my daughter was in hospital, I didn't really have a way to contact you and cancel what should have been a beautiful day.

For 8€15, you get a pumpkin to choose from, a felt-tip pen that doesn't write, a knife, a spoon, a bucket and a sponge... After that, it's up to you to draw, cut out, dig, etc. with your child... The on-site staff are friendly, but there really aren't enough animators to look after the children. What's more, you have to sign up for a time slot, but there are far too many people present at the same time. I'd already done this activity with my grandsons in 2022, and the organization wasn't exceptional, but now I find that it's degraded, more expensive and less well organized.

Very badly organized, not friendly. To be avoided

No welcome and the activity leaders were too busy laughing with certain groups rather than showing my daughter the ropes.

A little disappointing... 3 dirty knives on a table no hostess available

The activity wasn't correctly described in the advert, and we thought only children were going to take part, whereas the presence of accompanying adults is essential, as there aren't many entertainers, and they're the ones who do the pumpkin carving! The equipment provided did not include a carving knife!

Nice activity, but with children aged 6 and 3, it's more the adults who have to do the work... A good time nonetheless.

This is not an activity for children...my 11-year-old daughters were given a canteen-style meat cleaver as a tool for carving a large pumpkin! They asked the animators to do all the work for them...so disappointed! The pumpkins were beautiful all the same!

We had a great time doing this activity with our kids! What was less pleasant was the fact that it was done outside in the cold and damp... the children could have chosen their pumpkin and then carved it in a warm, dry place.
