On the outskirts of Douai, Cueillette de Férin, 3 minutes from the Centre Hospitalier de Douai, is opening its doors for Halloween to offer pumpkin carving workshops for children! Each child chooses, hollows out and carves their own Halloween pumpkin, and leaves with their own.
You can cancel free of charge up to 48h before the date of the activity.

Just outside Douai, only 3 minutes from the Douai Hospital, La Cueillette de Férin is offering a special Halloween workshop for the whole family!
It’s a fun outing for the All Saints’ Day break!
Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Children will be welcomed on-site at the scheduled time for your workshop
- The children choose a pumpkin that they’ll carve with their parents’ help
- A glass of apple juice is provided at the end of the workshop.
- Each participant takes home their own personalized pumpkin!
All materials needed for carving the pumpkin—as well as the candle to place inside—are provided on site.
It’s up to you to create the funniest… or the scariest pumpkin!
Children must be accompanied by and under the supervision of an adult for the entire duration of the activity. Free for accompanying adults.
Please note: Space is limited per time slot—book online! Reservations cannot be changed: each time slot is fixed and cannot be modified.

The accompanying team looked tired. They must have been there for a few hours. We didn't feel the Halloween or deco atmosphere. Value for money a bit expensive.

Good for the children, but the hosts were very dry when it came to giving instructions. After 10€ for a pumpkin which costs 5€90 an apple juice and a small packet of sweets a bit expensive especially as the accompanying persons are not allowed to have apple juice. If not, it's a nice idea, but it could be improved.

The idea is good, but the activity needs to be developed further. Why add paint because a 4-year-old won't pick up knives to carve the pumpkin, but she could have added color with felt-tip pens or paint? a little show or story before the activity Enter the children into a slightly fantastical world where they need decorated pumpkins ..... I find the activity a bit expensive as it is, especially as it takes only 20-30 min to complete the activity.

Correct activity when you know how to manage, if you don't go and get the information we explain practically nothing. I'm disappointed for the price, I expected much better.

The idea of the workshop was very good, except that we found it very speedy as soon as the pumpkin was finished, the snack and we were sweeping the table while we had not yet gathered the stuff and we had been there for barely 40 minutes. Despite this, it was a great activity to get the kids out and about during the vacations 🙂

It's a shame we didn't have everything we needed to draw on the pumpkin... The price is high just for the pumpkin and the carving tools...

I found we were rushed And we couldn't do the painting as it was written, all we could do was sculpt.

A little fast, my little girl finished after 30 minutes and I thought there would have been more discussion with the animators. Otherwise, the idea is very nice and the animators pleasant.
