Come and learn how to blend wine like a pro in Saint-Emilion, at Château Cormeil-Figeac! You'll learn all there is to know about oenology, grape varieties, maturation, coopering and wine tasting.
Course of the activity (1h15) :
- Tasting of 2 wines from the estate.
- Samples are taken from different vats and barrels to be tasted and a wine composed to your taste: more or less tannic, more or less woody, more or less fruity... It's up to you!
- Bottling your wine.
- Labeling and capping.
- Leave with your personalized half-bottle of wine.
Have you always dreamed of making your own wine? Now it's possible! You don't have to be an expert to take this workshop. You just have to love playing the little chemist to enjoy this activity.

The workshop was a little disrupted by the work in the winery and the remodeling of the property. Could do better! Otherwise a friendly welcome.

The idea of this workshop is good, but the owner is disappointing: we have the impression of bothering her more than anything else, no visit to the chaix or their vineyard, a more than dubious explanation of certain things, or even better, no explanation at all, a blending done on our own at the end while she goes about her business. I'm disappointed when we ask if she has a store, all we get is the back of a bottle that's been open for who knows how long, to be divided into 7 bottles, not even enough to taste them all, and no effort to present her wine to us. I wouldn't recommend this estate at all, and it's a shame to travel so far for a welcome like that.
