Created in the summer of 2009 on the initiative of the Beltoise family, the Haute Saintonge track is located in Charente-Maritime, about 1 hour from Bordeaux.
25 years ago, Jean-Pierre Beltoise's father, a former Formula 1 champion, came up with an innovative teaching method called "Driving Right". The aim? To reduce the number of road accidents by "educating drivers to be good citizens".
Today, the family business is run by son Julien, a Formula 3 champion. Nestling in an exceptional setting of greenery, the track, approved as a speedway by the FFSA and the FFM, claims to be ahead of its time in terms of environmental protection, as it is the very first track in France to be entirely designed for sustainable development.
For the record, the track is used for the famous Auto-Moto TV show broadcast on TF1!
