Notre-Dame d'Amiens Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic art, twice listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and celebrating its 800th anniversary in 2022. Most of the cathedral is freely accessible, but if you wish to visit the towers and the treasure room, you'll need to be accompanied by a guide from the Centre des Monuments Nationaux.
Access to the towers gives you a panoramic view of the entire city of Amiens and the only medieval spire still standing on a cathedral. The treasure of Amiens Cathedral is made up of numerous reliquary items, including the votive crown of the Paracet, a crown made of gold and silver, crystal and fine pearls.

The Amiens hortillonnages consist of a multitude of cultivated plots surrounded by water and accessible only by boat. These hortillonnages have existed since antiquity, and are located in the former bed of the naturally marshy Somme river.
