Musée Matisse - Immerse yourself in the master's world

Matisse, one of the greatest contemporary painters, loved Nice, where he painted much of his work. The museum, created in 1963 in the superb Villa des Arènes, opens the doors to his prodigious creative universe for a total artistic immersion.

With some thirty paintings, over 400 drawings and engravings, numerous collages and almost all his sculptures, this is a collection unique in the world. In a modern, illuminating museography, you'll penetrate the artist's intimacy while discovering legendary works.

Villa Masséna - Belle Époque on the Riviera

Ideally located on the Promenade des Anglais, this 19th-century villa-museum is first and foremost an architectural marvel. Neoclassical in form with an Italian touch, it features sumptuously decorated rooms.

More than a monument, the villa is a museum dedicated to the art and history of the Riviera between 1860 and 1914. Furniture, works of art and landscapes from the Belle Époque are all on display. The visit concludes with a pleasant stroll through its garden.

Musée des Beaux-Arts - Seven centuries of masterpieces

Did you know that Nice is home to a jewel coveted by all art lovers? The Musée des Beaux-Arts is astonishingly rich, taking visitors on a journey through seven centuries of art, in a vast 19th-century villa.

Masterpieces include a crucifixion by Bronzino, canvases by Dufy and Bonnard, paintings by the little-known Jules Chéret, and two sublime marble allegories by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. A treat for the curious viewer!

Villa Kérylos - Journey to Ancient Greece

In 1902, a mad lover of ancient Greece decided to have a villa built on the model of a house from the1st century BC. Théodore Reinach's magnificent whim gave birth to this villa, built in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, which reinvented Cycladic architecture.

In these curved, vaulted structures, you'll discover vast spaces furnished in the old-fashioned style, combining modern comforts with antique objects. Silverware inspired by Roman cutlery, plates worthy of Greek banquets, decor evoking the palaces of yesteryear... An astonishing visit between two eras!

The Trophée d'Auguste - Imperial glory on an azure summit

The original version of this edifice, which overlooks the Bay of Monaco at the Col de la Turbie, was built in 6 BC. Its purpose was to celebrate Emperor Augustus' victory over the peoples of the Alps. The structure gradually deteriorated over the centuries.

Rebuilt in the early 20th century, it is one of the few monuments of its type still visible anywhere in the world. Live the Roman experience: under an azure sky, at the foot of this dazzling white Triumph, you'll contemplate one of the most magical landscapes ever!
