• This tour will immerse you in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages as you explore villages, wineries, and numerous religious sites, such as the Monastery of Santo Estevo and the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas.
• You’ll enjoy natural landscapes, with vast expanses of oak groves, in a region renowned for being home to one of Spain’s most famous designations of origin.
• Departing from Santiago de Compostela, this excursion offers a complete immersion in mountainous landscapes, deep river gorges, and exceptional cultural heritage. This full-day itinerary combines untamed nature, monastic tradition, and picturesque villages.
• During the excursion, we’ll sail by catamaran through the spectacular canyons of the Sil River—one of Galicia’s most iconic sites—with vertiginous vertical cliffs rising over 500 meters. This river cruise offers a chance to admire the so-called “impossible” vineyards, which bear witness to the Ribeira Sacra’s famous tradition of heroic viticulture.
• We’ll continue with a visit to the rock-hewn monastery of San Pedro de Rocas, one of Galicia’s oldest religious sites, carved directly into the rock.
