Via Ferrata de Thônes "La Roche à l'Agathe

Located in Haute-Savoie in the Roche des Calvaires, just above the town of Thônes, this via ferrata is of intermediate difficulty. Also known as "La Roche à l'Agathe", it features an aerial monkey bridge, several athletic sections and climbing on metal rungs. The climb takes around 3h30.

Difficulty: depending on the section, between D and ED
Total ascent: 255 metres

Via Ferrata "La Dent du Chat" Roc du Cornillon

Located in La Chapelle-du-Mont-du-Chat, the via ferrata de la dent du chat or Roc du Cornillon in Savoie, offers spectacular views over Lac du Bourget. The Via Ferrata consists of two linked sections: Primevère à oreille d'ours and Roc de Cornillon. You'll discover monkey bridges, footbridges and rock climbing.

Difficulty: depending on the section, between AD+ and PD+.

Via Tyro from Col de la Forclaz

From the Col de la Forclaz, this private Via is less than 20 minutes from Annecy. It's an easy climb, suitable for children. Tyrolean traverses are available for added fun. Allow around 3h30 to complete the course, with a breathtaking view of the lake.

Via Ferrata de Fort l'Ecluse

Situated on the Fort l'Ecluse site on the border with Haute-Savoie, this Via Ferrata is quite challenging. With a 140-meter vertical drop, it offers a bird's-eye view of the Fort, which dates back to Roman times, and of the Rhône River.

The Via Ferrata du Semnoz, also known as the Grotte du Maquis hike, starts from the Semnoz, the emblematic mountain of the Annecy region. However, the Via Ferrata now appears to be closed. We therefore recommend that you do not try this route.

Via Ferrata Jules Carret

Located near Chambéry, this Via Ferrata offers a huge vertical drop of almost 1000 meters. It is located in the Bauges massif, to the delight of the eye. It is considered to be particularly difficult and physical.

Via Ferrata du Mont at Six-Fer-a-Cheval

This Via Ferrata takes about 3 hours, depending on your physical condition. It is fairly easy. It's an aerial route overlooking the Gorges de Tines, with several routes on offer: a short loop, a long loop and a full traverse.

Via Ferrata Yves Pollet-Villard "Le Col des Aravis

Also known as the via ferrata du Col des Aravis, this via offers magnificent sensations of emptiness that will delight adrenalin and thrill-seekers. It's a fairly long climb, taking around 3 to 4 hours to reach the summit. Located at La Clusaz in Haute-Savoie, this is one of the region's most renowned routes.
