• Agnès will kick off this adventure with a theoretical session, exploring the ins and outs of soap making and sharing safety tips. A handbook will be provided so you can take your own notes throughout this enriching experience.
• Now let’s get hands-on! You’ll learn the art of lining the provided mold, ready to hold your soapy masterpiece.
• Next, head to the lab for a masterful demonstration by the soap maker, setting the stage for you to create your own masterpiece. On the agenda: precise weighing, melting the ingredients, mastering the “trace,” and pouring your soap batter—all under Agnès’s attentive and supportive guidance.
• Once the soap has set, a tasty break will bring the team together to go over the theory and discuss key topics in soapmaking, such as marbling, fragrances, colors, different oils, cutting, and the necessary equipment. This is the perfect time to ask any questions you may have. You’ll also learn how to use a soap recipe calculator to create your own recipes and a pH tester. Meanwhile, your soap will set, ready to be taken home.
• The soap maker will perform a pH test in the coming weeks to ensure your creation is perfect.
