Are you over 16 and interested in taking your coastal license? Find out about Florian's courses to help you acquire the basic skills needed to obtain your boating license.

The coastal license allows you to sail on motorboats powered by an engine of more than 6hp, with no power limit, and to sail up to 6 miles from a shelter, day or night.

Formulas available:

• Essentiel: learning box with Vagnon code (booklet presenting the complete and simple program required to learn the coastal license) and memo flyer; code and test e-learning access; candidate's booklet; 5h of classroom theory; 3h30 of practical training, including 2h at the helm.
• Experience: same as "Essential" formula, but with 5h30 of practical lessons, including 4h at the helm.

How does it work?

The theoretical part will take place in Pont l'Abbé on Saturdays on certain dates (9:30am-12:30pm, 2pm-6pm, see calendar) and on certain evenings throughout the year. The practical part will take place from the port of Sainte-Marine on a school boat, a Bénéteau Antarès 620 helmsman powered by 100hp Yamaha and equipped with all the latest on-board electronics.

The exam :

• Theory (conducted by a state-approved organization): 40 multiple-choice questions (buoyage, vessel lights and markings, respect for the environment, visual and audible signals, safety rules, steering, etc.), 5 faults maximum.
• Practice: training and assessment with the instructor.
