Activity description :

Offer your child this 1-hour workshop, during which he or she can learn face painting and make-up by creating a character or decoration of his or her choice.

Course of the workshop (1h) :

Children are welcomed and the workshop explained.
Participants choose between doing their own make-up or working in pairs.
First of all, children paint their project on a "face chart", a face printed on paper, to go from an idea in their head to a sketch.
Jen will help them refine their make-up project and provide all the necessary materials.
When they're ready, participants start their make-up either on themselves or on their classmate, learning how to go from 2D (a sheet of paper) to 3D (a face with volumes), and realizing that straight lines don't have to be straight...
Finally, Jen takes a few photos, with or without make-up, and participants leave with their drawings.

The whole point of self-make-up is to rediscover and connect with yourself in front of the mirror. In pairs, make-up is a way of developing gentleness and respect for each other's bodies.
