Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Ebru, an ancestral Turkish art of marbling on paper, with its fluid, hypnotic motifs. For 2 hours, discover this unique technique which consists of painting on water, before transferring your creations onto paper!

Workshop schedule (2h) :

  • Discovery of traditional tools: vat, pigments, horsehair brushes, combs, punches, etc.
  • Preparation of thickened bath (gum) and color adjustment
  • Learn basic gestures: dispersing pigments, creating first effects
  • Create and print your own marbling
  • Demonstrate the Battal pattern, the basis of traditional Ebru.

This workshop invites you to immerse yourself in a meditative, sensory and creative practice!

Leave with your own marbled papers, ready to be framed or used for your own artistic projects (bookbinding, stationery, decoration...).

Great workshop! A great discovery of the practice, with simple but super satisfying gestures to achieve. Alisson was educational, passionate and a good listener. We left with some lovely creations and the desire to continue at home.
