Activity description :

More than a simple baptism, the initiation jump is a first step towards the PAC training (Progression Accompagnée en Chute) which aims to allow you to acquire as quickly as possible all the autonomy necessary to freefall in complete autonomy.

To prepare you for this, the PAC initiation jump takes place over a full day at the end of which you will make your first solo jump. You will be fully involved in your jump as the instructors will be present only to guide you and ensure your safety during your jump.

Go to the Chéu jump base near Auxerre to receive all the necessary instruction for your training. All the instructors are skydiving professionals, licensed and qualified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and have several thousand jumps to their credit. The team is led by Polo Grisoni, holder of 9 world skydiving records and 16 times French champion. The centre is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the French Skydiving Federation, and is a member of the FEPP.

Course of your training day :

  • Welcome at the airfield by the team who will guide you throughout the day.
  • Throughout the day, theoretical training on the following subjects:
    • Familiarisation with the equipment
    • Aircraft exits
    • Stability in freefall
    • Altitude management
    • Opening the parachute
    • Piloting the canopy
    • Landing
    • Packing
  • You are equipped with a suit, helmet, goggles, altimeter and parachute. You board the plane and climb up for about 15 minutes to reach the drop altitude of 4,000 metres.
  • Once the target altitude has been reached, you find yourself at the door of the plane surrounded by your two instructors. This is the moment of the big jump, between 50 seconds and 1 minute of pure free fall at an average speed of 200 km / hour! One instructor will stand in front of you and use signs to tell you what corrections to make to your position, while the other stays on the side holding you to the parachute harness to ensure your stability and safety.
  • At 1,500 metres, you open the parachute, check the opening and start your descent: you will then be able to enjoy a canopy ride of about 8 minutes. After the adrenaline of freefall, you will have the opportunity to admire the landscape. You will be guided by radio to the ground.
  • Debriefing and analysis of your jump.

Please note that the weight limit for a jump is 91 kg with clothes and shoes on (check the scales at the reception desk).

You are going to live an incredible experience! This will give you a taste of what a full skydiving course can be like, allowing you to achieve complete autonomy.
