Activity description :

The PAC (Progression Accompanied in Freefall) training is a fast method to allow you to practice skydiving and to acquire all the necessary autonomy to jump in freefall.

This training takes place over a week, during which you will learn the theoretical subjects essential to the practice of skydiving as well as a practical phase where you will make a series of jumps. You can choose between 7 or 15 jumps.

Go to the jumping base of Chéu near Auxerre to receive all the necessary instruction for your training. All instructors are skydiving professionals, licensed and qualified by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and have several thousand jumps to their credit. The team is led by Polo Grisoni, holder of 9 world skydiving records and 16 times French champion. The centre is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the French Skydiving Federation, and is a member of the FEPP.

Course of your training course :

  • Welcome at the airfield by the team that will accompany you throughout the week.
  • The first day is dedicated to the theoretical part. You will cover the following topics:
    • Familiarisation with the equipment
    • Aircraft exits
    • Stability in freefall
    • Altitude management
    • Opening the parachute
    • Piloting the canopy
    • Landing
    • Packing
  • The boarding and the ascent in the plane lasts about fifteen minutes, to reach the drop altitude of 4 000 meters.
  • Once the target altitude has been reached, you find yourself at the door of the plane surrounded by your two instructors. This is the moment of the big jump, between 50 seconds and 1 minute of pure free fall at an average speed of 200 km / hour! One instructor will stand in front of you and use signs to tell you what corrections to make to your position, while the other stays on the side holding you to the parachute harness to ensure your stability and safety.
  • At 1,500 metres, you open the parachute, check the opening and start your descent: you will then be able to enjoy a canopy ride of about 8 minutes. After the adrenaline of freefall, you will have the opportunity to admire the landscape. You will be guided by radio to the ground.
  • Debriefing and analysis of your jump in order to prepare the next ones.
  • The following days will be dedicated to other jumps. Depending on your level, you may only be accompanied by one instructor.
  • On the 7th jump, if all the objectives are met (safety and technique), you will make your solo jump and your PAC course will be validated. You will then be able to jump from any base in France on presentation of your logbook.
  • From the 15th jump onwards, you will be eligible for the "Brevet A", the first federal skydiving certificate.

Please note that the weight limit for a jump is 91 kg with clothes and shoes on (check at the reception desk).

An intense week of sensations after which you will be proud to be able to live your passion in complete autonomy from all the bases in France.
