Do you know how to switch out of automatic mode, but do your photos sometimes suffer from challenging lighting conditions —such as backlighting, gray skies, or orange tints indoors? This workshop is perfect for mastering exposure techniques. Led outdoors by a professional photographer, it serves as a true “photography primer” to help you shoot confidently in any lighting situation.

Workshop itinerary:

  • Controlling the amount of light: manage high contrasts, complex backlighting, dark settings, or bright skies without underexposing your subjects.
  • Mastering color quality: Adjust the white balance to eliminate yellowish or orange tints and achieve vibrant colors, even on gray days.
  • Using the histogram: Read and analyze the exposure of your photos in real time on your camera to immediately know if your shot is successful.
  • Measuring and locking exposure: use the different metering modes (matrix, center-weighted, spot) and the exposure lock (AE-L button) to capture the scene exactly as you envision it.

An expert yet accessible approach, with targeted practical exercises to refine your technical and artistic eye. You’ll leave with a digital summary booklet and free video tutorials after the session to reinforce what you’ve learned!
