Discover the world of linocut printing in this workshop led by Nathalie! In a warm and creative atmosphere, you’ll learn how to carve your own plate and create unique prints using this traditional technique that’s accessible to everyone.

Workshop schedule (7 hours):

• Workshop duration: 6 hours + 1-hour lunch break
• Choose your design: bring your own drawing or select one from those provided by Nathalie
• Transfer the design onto a linoleum plate measuring 10 x 7.5 cm, 15 x 10 cm, or 15 x 21 cm
• Engrave your plate using gouges, carving out the areas intended to remain white
• Make a first test print on scrap paper to assess the result and make any necessary corrections
• Printing your design on high-quality paper to create your final print
• Explore different coloring techniques: a “puzzle” effect created by cutting out sections of the plate, gradient effects using a roller, or the “Chine-collé” technique involving the addition of colored paper

You’ll leave with your linocut plate, your test prints, and one or more finished prints—a testament to your creative experience.
