Odile, a craftswoman with a passion for creative hobbies, invites you to take a (re)creative break and discover linocut, an engraving technique also known as "taille d'épargne", which allows you to print your design ad infinitum... or almost!

In this fun and friendly workshop, you'll create your own painting and leave with three prints ready for framing. All in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Workshop schedule (2h30) :

• Welcome and introduction to the workshop and its schedule
• Tool discovery: familiarize yourself with the different gouges on a test plate to explore the possible renderings and your first sensations of engraving.
• Designing the motif: create your own design or choose a model from those on offer - no drawing skills required! You'll learn to distinguish between areas to be hollowed out and those to be preserved for printing.
• Engraving on lino: on a 9x9 cm plate, take the time to sculpt your motif in a calm and concentrated manner.
• Themagic moment: printing! Apply the ink, print your creation and discover the result of your work.

At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your engraved, reusable lino plate, 3 12x17 cm prints and, above all, the satisfaction of having explored an original and relaxing artistic technique.
