Saint-Girons: the perfect place to take the plunge

The Saint-Girons aerodrome is the ideal spot for your parachute jump. In the Ariège department, 1h15 from Tarbes and south of Toulouse, it's located at the foot of the Pyrenees, giving you an incredible view of the mountain range during your jump.

Jump procedure

• As soon as you arrive, you'll be greeted by a member of our team, who will explain the step-by-step procedure for your jump. Before boarding, you'll be given a short theoretical briefing, fitted with a jump suit and taught the positions to adopt during your jump.
• Safety briefing and ground instruction lasting around 20 minutes.
• You'll then be attached securely to the instructor, equipped with a two-seater parachute.
• After a 20-minute climb, you'll arrive at an altitude of between 3,000 and 4,000 meters. It's time for the big jump! The plane's doors open, you start to feel the stress, and you're in for a big dose of adrenalin. You'll fall for 40 seconds at 200 km/h. It's going to be a hair-raising experience!
• At 1500 meters from the ground, the parachute is triggered and you'll fly for another 8 minutes until you reach the landing area. The opening of the parachute is a unique moment. During the descent, you'll have the chance to learn how to pilot the canopy and, above all, enjoy the scenery as you admire the Pyrenees mountain range.
• Landing on the cow floor... you've had your fill of sensations! You'll be able to debrief with your friends and family and catch your breath on the airfield tarmac.
