Activity description :

Explore an unexpected Paris through a treasure hunt combining exploration, enigmas and surprising discoveries. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, your sense of observation and logic will be essential in solving the challenges that lie in your path.

The scenario

Difficulty 1/5 - Excavation 3/5 - Thinking 2/5 - Manipulation 3/5 - In teams of 2 to 25 - Self-guided - Duration: 2h - From age 8

This treasure hunt takes place on a former railroad line, now transformed into a pedestrian promenade, offering you an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Your mission: decipher the password needed to open the Cryptex, containing the key to the safe, located on the Place de la Bastille.

How does it work?

  • Along the way, you'll discover unusual sites such as a mysterious grotto, a restored former train station, a garden surrounded by ramparts, buildings of atypical design, and a reproduction of a famous work of art from the Louvre.
  • Your adventure concludes in the lively Bastille district, where the vibrant atmosphere marks the end of your quest.

Teamwork, strategy and observation will be crucial to overcoming this challenge!

Know before you go

  • Duration: we recommend 2 hours. If you're really fast, you can get there in 1h30! If you take your time, it can take up to 3 hours.
  • Weather conditions and cancellations: La Coulée Verte is one of the gardens managed by the City of Paris, which decides whether to open or close them depending on weather conditions. In the event of storms or bad weather, these areas may be closed to ensure everyone's safety. As a result, we will suggest that you either postpone the tour, or try another treasure hunt.
  • The departure point (Métro Bel Air) is different from the arrival point (Place de la Bastille).
  • This tour is suitable for children aged 8 and over.
  • Pleasebring your own water bottle, even if empty! You'll be able to refill it at the many fountains along the coulée verte.
