Activity description :

  1. 3 hours
  2. Up to 100 people

The Bergerie farm and its educational farm teams look forward to welcoming you to share moments of discovery.

Enjoy a breath of fresh air in the company of farm animals!

To discover:

  • A true interpretation trail of the agricultural world, the circuit offers a free tour of the farm and its educational farm.
  • Explore the farm in a fun, instructive and independent way, using educational tools adapted to all ages: reading tables, treasure hunts, educational panels and films.
  • Meet the farm's technicians and discover their passion through their activities and demonstration workshops (sorting yard, shearing platform, sensory area...). Guided tour every day at 2.30pm.
  • Get up close to our farm animals - sheep, cows, goats, horses, donkeys, pigs, rabbits and poultry - to observe, stroke and smell them... (meet the goats at 5pm).
  • Discover our historic site focused on sustainable development and agroecology.
  • Don't miss seeing the farm's newborn kids! Kids are born in spring, lambs from September to February. Calves and rabbits are available all year round.
  • The Arboretum and barefoot trail in the Montorgueil garden (open from April to the end of the All Saints' vacation period). Take advantage of your visit to the Bergerie Nationale to discover this area! With a focus on naturalist discoveries, the Montorgueil garden allows visitors to explore the historical and natural heritage - the very identity and richness of the site - through a barefoot trail on the theme of mulching.

The Bergerie boutique is also open, offering souvenirs, toys, clothing and, of course, groceries. You can also buy food and drink at the Mérinos Café.

We loved the self-guided tour, which took us 2 hours, the place is really cool and not too crowded, perfect for having a little private time with the animals. The activities are a plus that I recommend you see, like the milking of the cows, very well animated. All in all, a great time!

The whole team is very welcoming, and the caretakers are very child-friendly. The idea is to be as close as possible to the animals, to be able to touch them... And we left with some great farm produce!

Very pleasant, invigorating afternoon. Back to basics guaranteed. Farm animal staff available for conversation. And then there's the store with its many quality items, and the chance to warm up with a good snack at a reasonable price. Thank you to the Bergerie for offering these moments.
