Activity description :

This course has been specially designed to give you the basics and the autonomy you need to launch your own projects! 4 lessons of 2h30 over 4 consecutive mornings or afternoons to learn how to sew on a machine, master its operation and the basics of sewing (sewing straight, zipping, hemming, etc.).
You will make :
- 6 make-up remover wipes (organic cotton fleece)
- a large-format lined shopping bag
- a lined zipped pencil case
- cotton pyjama shorts or an elasticated viscose skirt (fluid fabric): your first garment!
Course (4 x 2h30) :
- Choice of fabric from our stock (all materials supplied)
- Concepts covered :
- Threading the sewing machine
- Choosing stitches and settings
- Straight sewing using markers
- Cutting fabric
- Master basic techniques: bartacks, corners, slides, hems, overcasting, etc.
