Go behind the scenes of the florist’s trade and experience a day in the life of Maud and Camille in their Parisian shop-apartment. From preparing flowers to creating floral arrangements, discover their expertise during an immersive and friendly day.
Activity Schedule (10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.):
- Welcome with coffee or herbal tea, followed by an introduction to Maud and Camille’s world, their journey, and their daily routine.
- Preparing the freshly arrived flowers: Remove the leaves, trim the stems, and place the flowers in water to get ready for the day.
- Creating your bouquet: learn the “vrille” technique and how to combine colors, volumes, and varieties to create a harmonious arrangement.
- Creating a dried-flower arrangement: Choose your flowers and put together your creation following Maud and Camille’s advice.
- Throughout the day, chat about the realities of the profession, what goes on behind the scenes at the shop, and the anecdotes that punctuate their daily lives.
A free lunch break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. will give you a chance to explore the neighborhood. Be sure to bring a warm jacket: the shop stays cool to preserve the flowers!
Head home with one of your creations and a real-life glimpse into the life of a florist, after a day full of discoveries and creativity.
