Initiate yourself to the art of cold saponification and explore a natural technique that transforms vegetable oils into glycerin-rich, skin-friendly soaps. Discover the role of oils and butters, over-greasing and glycerine, formulate your own recipe and personalize your soap with organic essential oils.

Course of the activity (2h30) :

• Understanding saponification: notions of applied chemistry, the role of oils and butters, the importance of superfatting and glycerine.
• Calculation and formulation: recipe development and adjustment of proportions for a balanced soap.
• Personalization: choosing organic essential oils to perfume and enrich your soap.
• Practical production: handling ingredients, mixing, emulsifying and molding.
• Advice on drying and use: curing time, conservation and best practices for a successful soap.
• You'll leave with 500g of soap (6-7 bars), the recipe and all the skills you need to make your own soaps at home.
