Wednesday aperitif cruise on a barge in Lyon (69)

I've sent you two e-mails to which I've had no response.

Very classy boat and a lovely ride, even in the pouring rain, it was dreamlike. On the other hand - we almost ended up on folding chairs in the middle of the deck, in the waiters' passageway, and facing each other, whereas this kind of mini-cruise is supposed to be a bit intimate/glamorous for couples... so arrive early to get seats against the glass, otherwise 0 comfort. - FUNBOOKER said that vegetarian boards would be available as an option, but on the spot Le Vaporetto said that for lack of prior choice (when/how??) they only had charcuterie/cheese boards. What ?? - while I was in the toilet, the waitress came to offer wine to my darling, who thought it was offered as a commercial gesture to make up for the non-veg boards, then handed her the credit card machine "6 euros please"... So a good time, but the logistics are a bit amateurish (especially on the Funbooker side), and the staff didn't quite understand who their target audience was and what they expected from a classy mini-cruise like this.

Plus points _ Very professional service! _ magnificent boat *the official* Minus: Eating cold meats without cutlery is risky. Balance > Evening boat trip not great because it was dark, but we had a good time all the same. Thank you

No lights in Lyon and no one to tell us what sites we were visiting, all in total darkness.

We thought it was a really nice moment. Very warm welcome. The aperitif board is very nice, but we would have appreciated a fresher wine and a fuller glass. The music is a little loud at times, and we'd appreciate some control over the sound level. The 1.5-hour cruise is just right for an aperitif, and there's no need to go any further, even if it would have been nice to pass by the Rhone, which is technically not possible.

A little speech from the captain to set the mood wouldn't go amiss 😉

Nice and original moment

Nice cruise on the Saône up to Confluence. Aperitif with charcuterie board and glass of wine very nice. It was a gift and we appreciated it.

We had a great time. Pleasant ride - The cruise tour was very comprehensive. Good charcuterie and cheese board. Very welcoming staff. Accessible and smiling :) We would have appreciated having water upstairs.
