Apolline offers a bookbinding workshop in Paris at her studio in the 19th arrondissement. During this activity, you'll learn the basics of bookbinding under her expert eye, and create a flexible notebook.

What is bookbinding? It's a technique that simply consists of binding several sheets of a book together, potentially folded into a notebook.

Course of the workshop (2h):

• Theory: learn how to make an A5 notebook out of several notebooks sewn together.
• Workshop: after an explanation of the structure of a book, you'll learn how to determine the direction of the paper, fold it neatly and cut it to size. Apolline will then explain how to create a "honeycomb" seam to bind the pages of your book together.
• Finally, Apolline will show you how to use a large sheet of paper you've chosen from among the papers provided, to make an ingenious fold to create a soft cover for your notebook, without sewing or gluing!

No special knowledge of bookbinding is required to take part in this workshop. The workshop is limited to 4 people, so Apolline can guide you all the way. A great gift idea!
