Canoeing on the Gélise river
Self-guided trip - From age 6 - All levels
You'll set off on your own along the Gélise, a sub-tributary of the Garonne rising in the Pyrenees, in the Nature 2000 zone, for a superb canoe-kayak trip. You'll set off from our partner's leisure center as far as the famous Moulin des tours de Barbaste, then turn around and head back to your starting point.
How does it work?
On arrival at the Cap Cauderoue park, our partner will give you your equipment and brief you on safety instructions. You'll then set off on a descent down the river.
This activity is ideal for a quiet, sporty time out with family or friends, for a vacation outing or a bachelor party, for example.

To begin with, although I had booked on Funbooker, nothing had been passed on to the site... The trip itself is nice, but you have to manage on the way out and on the way back. The pontoon was very limited, and with several canoes arriving at the same time without any staff to provide security or advice, one of the participants fell twice (first onto the neighbouring canoe, then into the river, his head falling less than 5 cm from a pontoon pole). No harm done, fortunately, as no one was left at the hut: if help was needed, too bad! Too bad, because it was a nice experience...

The walk is very pleasant but very long, so allow 2 hours or more if you're not very athletic. The whole team was particularly friendly and pleasant. Try the catapult there, it's great!

Very welcoming, the walk is accessible to all, very easy. Not much to see of the river, but the end on the mill towers is very pretty. The return journey takes the same route and the finish is not very easy, but it's a pleasant enough walk that I'd recommend.

For the canoe trip, nothing to say, very good welcome and very pleasant. On the other hand, funbooker, your site is very very bad, the timetable had changed and no email to change the time. No direct link to cap cauderoue and the address was wrong.
