Enjoy an exceptional moment in the heart of the Lozère region on this canoe trip to La Malène. The team welcomes you to their nautical base near La Malène, a small village in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn and an ideal starting point for canoeing.
Canoeing on the Tarn
Self-guided course - From age 4 - All levels - Distance: 21 km
You'll paddle down the river at your own pace, in complete freedom and with no restrictions, taking your picnic and enjoying swimming stops. You'll have the chance to see St-Chély-du-Tarn, one of the only villages on the left bank to be linked to the right bank by a bridge, then the 15th-century Château de La Caze, or the village of Hauterives.
How does it work?
On arrival at the Soulio nautical base, our partner will give you your equipment and brief you on safety instructions. You'll then set off on a descent of the river.
The Soulio team also offers a shorter 10 km course accessible to all.

- By car: 50 min from Mende via N88 and D32
Know before you go
- Departure at 8:30 a.m. in summer (July and August).
- Must be over 4 years old and at least 1 meter tall.
- Children eligible for the Pitchoun prize will be seated between 2 people in a canoe.
- Must be able to swim and immerse head under water.
- Free parking at base.
- Included: canoe, life jacket, paddle, waterproof can.
- Don't forget: t-shirt to keep under lifejackets, sun cream, swimsuit, towel, water bottle, closed shoes mandatory, covid-19 mask.
- Pets not allowed.
