Joris and his team welcome you to their nautical base for an 18km descent between Saint-Denis-de-l'Hôtel (Jargeau) and Saint-Jean-de-Braye, a magnificent spot close to Orléans and the ideal starting point for kayaking and canoeing!
Canoeing on the Loire
Self-guided course - All levels - Distance: 18 km
Alone or in a duo, you'll climb aboard a kayak to discover the river and its surroundings in a fun and friendly atmosphere. You'll make your way downstream between Saint-Denis-de-l'Hôtel (Jargeau) and Saint-Jean-de-Braye, a beautiful spot close to Orléans and an ideal starting point for kayaking and canoeing!
How does it work?
On arrival at the Saint-Jean-de-Braye nautical base, our partner will give you your equipment and brief you on safety instructions. You'll then set off down the river. A bus will take you to the starting point.

Great fun! Despite the inclement weather. The 18 km descent of the Loire went very well. Not too long, not too short. The Loire level was sufficient. We got stuck in the sand twice due to navigation errors. It's always best to be on the side of the steepest banks.
