This complete formula enables you to prepare for and obtain both coastal and river licenses, while simplifying your course. Ideal for both sea and inland waterway navigation, this program combines efficiency and comfort: a single practical course for two licenses, personalized support and high-performance review tools.

With these two licenses, you'll be able to :

Sail at sea up to 6 nautical miles from a shelter, with unlimited engine power, day and night.
Pilot on rivers and canals, and on all inland waterways, with a boat less than 20 meters long.

How does it work?

The course comprises two separate theory tests and a single practical test. You benefit from unlimited access to the e-learning platform, face-to-face courses led by an approved trainer (minimum 5 hours), and full support until you pass both licenses.

Sessions :

Theory: Classroom courses with an instructor, intensive practice sessions with MCQs similar to the official exam, mock tests available in branch.
Theory tests: Two separate MCQs (coastal and river), without appointment at an approved center.
Practical: A single test with 2 hours at the helm, validating both licenses.

Formulas :

Standard formula: take the course at your own pace, with unlimited e-learning access and digital code book(s) included.
Express 48h: obtain both licenses in one weekend or two consecutive days, with condensed courses, exams and practice.

Know before you go

To book, choose a default date in the month of your choice in the calendar, then once your booking has been confirmed, contact the partner to arrange the precise date of your training course. Maximum delay: 1 year.

The forms to fill in and send to the "Boat Academy Lyon" center to validate your registration:

Registration form: basic option for pleasure boat driving license.
Medical certificate: "Certificat d'aptitude physique des candidats au titre de conduite des bateaux de plaisance à moteur".

Coastal license application :

2 recent passport photos (1 if you hold a river license)
Photocopy of both sides of your identity card or passport
A €78 tax stamp if you do not hold a river permit
A valid medical certificate less than 6 months old
A copy of your river license (the original must be handed in at the entrance to the examination room).
30€ to be paid directly to the test center
