Want to stand up on a board for the first time, or improve your skills on the waves of Tenerife? Join a small group at one of the island’s best spots, right next to a surf school located on the beachfront in Playa de las Américas.

How does it work?

• You’ll be welcomed at the school, where you’ll pick up your gear and store your belongings in lockers.
• Head to the beach, right across the street, for safety instructions and a lesson on the basics: stance on the board, paddling, and how to stand up.
• Get in the water under the supervision of a certified instructor at low tide, when conditions are safest and there’s more space to surf.
• Showers are available on-site at the end of the session.

Lessons are taught by local instructors who know the spot inside and out. In small groups, everyone receives personalized advice tailored to their skill level, and many students manage to stand up on their first lesson. If you prefer, the session can also be done on a bodyboard.
