Introduce yourself to the unique skill of weaving on a wooden frame, for a handicraft experience rich in meaning. Using a handmade wooden frame, participants discover the basics of weaving and create patterns using natural materials: wool, hemp and linen yarns, wicks of wool for a textured effect... and even, for the more curious, their own hair!

This nod to the ancestral craft of hair weaving, practiced until the 19th century, makes the workshop even more unusual and memorable.

Course of the workshop (2h) :

• Welcome and presentation of equipment.
• Introduction to weaving on a wooden frame.
• Choice of natural materials and creation of patterns.
• Possibility of integrating a lock of hair (personal or supplied) for an even more symbolic creation.
• Accompaniment throughout the weaving process.

At the end of the workshop, each participant leaves with his or her own woven frame, to be displayed as a wall decoration as a souvenir of a unique and meaningful craft experience .
