Share a creative and fun moment with your child by building a birdhouse together using reused materials. This parent-child workshop invites you to discover how to provide a shelter for garden birds during the winter, while teaching young children about nature conservation and recycling.

Workshop itinerary:

• Learning about birds: Learn to identify some of the birds you might see in winter, such as chickadees, sparrows, tree finches, starlings, robins, and blackbirds.
• Choosing Materials: Discover the reusable materials available to you for building your birdhouse, giving old objects and materials a new lease on life.
• Building the birdhouse: With the facilitator’s help, build your birdhouse while sharing the different steps of the process with your child.
• Snack break: Enjoy a relaxing moment with a tasty snack, included in the workshop.

Take home your creation and the joy of having shared a hands-on activity as a family. This workshop is an opportunity to raise your child’s awareness of biodiversity, foster their creativity, and prepare a small shelter to welcome birds during the cold season.
