Your Truffaut store invites you to take part in a workshop-course on planting and caring for fruit trees and shrubs. You'll learn all the essential steps for planting and maintaining a fruit tree or shrub, to ensure good fruit production and longevity of the plant.

This workshop is divided into 2 parts: a theoretical part indoors and a practical part outdoors.

Course of the workshop (2h) :

Theory:

• Introduction to common fruit trees
• Discovering the choices and selection criteria for fruit trees and shrubs
• Why prune a tree? Different types of pruning (training, fruiting, restoration) and pruning periods according to species.
• Key stages in planting a fruit tree

Practical training :

• Demonstration and practical exercises (outdoors):
  • Preparing the soil and planning the planting of a fruit tree
  • Apply the key steps for planting a fruit tree
  • Pruning a fruit tree: discovery and use of pruning tools, demonstration of pruning techniques on branches or demonstration shrubs.
