Activity description :
- All day
This castle is the fruit of a unique project: to build a fortified castle as it was done in the 13th century. Since construction began in 1997, workers have been using only medieval materials and techniques. A visit to this castle will allow young and old alike to marvel at the know-how of the time, and to meet the workers who will be able to answer all your questions!
Tour advantages
- The construction of this castle provides answers to a number of archaeological questions: come and find out more about scientific advances in this field!
- Numerous historians, archaeologists and castellologists are involved in the project.
- You'll also discover how bread was made in the Middle Ages, and take part in a stone-cutting workshop.

We've been to Guedelon since 2005. Never seen so many people. We parked outside in precarious conditions. Crazy people everywhere. Difficult to have lunch. And security conditions in the castle were borderline. All this for 15 Euros per person. Not cheap. I regret having paid this price, which had never been the case in previous years. Guedelon to forget in August.

We had a good day but if I may say so, there is a lack of games for children or adults, why not some old wooden games? Sincerely

Very good, except for a bit of disorganization when it came to parking when we arrived at 9:30 am.

Interesting visit, the craftsmen's work is impressive. The explanations are very satisfactory. The direction of exit could do with a little more signage.

Very nice visit, the only drawback being that the mill was not in operation, even though it's one of the castle's finest attractions, A pity...

Delighted with our day, disappointed by some stands where there was nobody, otherwise very nice place, and congratulations to all the trades.
