Come and discover the final resting place of the kings and queens of France. Built on the tomb of Saint Denis, a missionary bishop who died around 250 AD, the Royal Abbey of Saint-Denis was the burial place of 43 kings, 32 queens and 10 servants of the monarchy from the death of King Dagobert in 639 until the 19th century. In 1966, the monument was elevated to cathedral status.

Very good, no waiting, on a Monday outside the school vacations there was no one there, a must-see at least once in your life! We really enjoyed our visit.

This cathedral is a splendor, fortunately some people managed to preserve these unique pieces during the revolution, which we can admire today. Our guide was very interesting - you can tell she's passionate about what she does. It made the visit even more rewarding.
