Activity description :

Halfway between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac, stop off at the foot of the Romanesque church in the heart of the village of Montcaret. Discover the remains of a 4th-5th century villa used as a quarry for the construction of the parish church. Classified as a historic monument, this rural aristocratic residence is centered on a large interior garden. The interest of this site stems from the quality and extent of the mosaic pavements that adorned the floors of the ceremonial rooms.
