Activity description :

Discover the Colonne de la Grande Armée at your own pace as you climb its 269 steps and wander freely through the museum and grounds. This monument, erected between 1804 and 1824 inhonor of Napoleon I, invites you to learn about the history of the Colonne de la Grande Armée, from the Boulogne camp to the award of the Légion d'Honneur.

  • Coat dotted with bees, laurel wreath, scepter topped by an imperial eagle... It's Napoleon in the majesty of his coronation garb that you can admire in the Column Museum.

  • Between October and early November: 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm between Fridays and Sundays
  • Annual closure between November and mid-December
  • Exceptional closures on January 1, May 1, May 8, November 1 and December 25
