Tufting carpet workshop in Paris 5th arrondissement

Come and try your hand at tufting, a discipline that lets you create rugs using a wool gun! Bring your ideas and creativity and create a 100% personalized rug!

In thecreative workshop, you'll also find materials and accessories to create a personalized tufted bag or mirror. These creations are available on site at an additional cost.

Workshop schedule (3h) :

• Introduction to the techniques you'll be using.
• Learn how to use the tufting gun: Siyi and her team will show you how to use it depending on the design you wish to create. Beware, tufting is a fairly physical activity (the tufting gun is a machine that weighs 1.4 kg).
• Draw the selected motif on canvas and choose wools and colors.
• Create your own design.
• Finishing: cutting, gluing the canvas strip, shaving. Siyi and her team take care of the last part of your rug.

If you're a beginner, prepare a design that's not too complicated! If you don't have any ideas, Siyi and her team can also suggest some on the spot.

Two frame sizes are available:

• 40 cm x 40 cm frame: 3 hours
• 80 cm x 80 cm frame: 6 hours

If you finish your mat 30 minutes before the end of the workshop, you can leave with your mat; otherwise, unfortunately, you'll have to pick it up another day.

This workshop is ideal for learning a new discipline and giving free rein to your creativity. It's also a great gift idea for a DIY fan!
